First you will need to get a ftp client to get access to your files, you will also need your ftp log on details which should look like ftp.domain-name.co.uk, user-name,password and port number,these will of been supplied by your host . The ftp client I use is filezilla and have found it easy to use and its free, next

launch filezilla or similar and you will see a screen with top left-your computer files, bottom left- open files on your computer, top right- your site files and bottom right-open files on your site .

Download your chosen skin and save to an easily accessible location i.e My Documents/new skin unzip the file to the same location,

go to the filezilla page and you will see top right

click on ‘skins’ then on the + to expand and you will see

now on the left pane click on My Documents and in the bottom left pane you will find ‘your skin’, find the un-zipped folder? (VERY IMPORTANT: do not upload the zipped file), drag this into the location above, this will be copied and you will see the progress in the bottom bar.

once copying is complete log in to your cubecart admin (www.mysite.co.uk/admin) go to General settings – styles & misc-expand the store skin: and choose ‘your skin’ then click on update settings, congratulations thats it your skin is done, if you view your store and the skin has not changed go to Rebuild & Recount and ‘clear cache’.

This way, you are sure to be ready for quick and abrupt pivot turns.

Footwork exercises

Aside from the usual footwork drills, there are also several exercises that are simple enough and will surely help improve your footwork for both defensive and offensive tasks in playing basketball.

Here are some of them.

As a form of exercise, bend the knees, take proper balance standing position by spreading the feet at shoulder width. Then, step sideways. Eventually, make the little steps either to the left or to the right turn into short runs. The sideway movements will help you attain good and firm footwork sideways.     Hop with just one leg forward from tone side of the basketball court until you reach half of the court. Bring down the foot and use the other one as you hop forward to the other end of the court. This exercise targets the muscles of the thighs and knees, making up for firmer and stronger footwork.     Regular jogging and running exercises are proven to be effective in improving the footwork of basketball players. In the morning, or whenever there is time, jog around or run. It would also be advisable if you use a thread mill.

It would be impossible to play basketball if the strength of the feet isn’t established. Because basketball is a very physical game, you should make sure your footwork is well practiced before the games.
